About Penke
Hi there! I am Penke, aka Harm Jan Bosscher. I'm a professional web developer since 2005 (19+ years) and started my own company, HJ Webdevelopment, in 2011. My slogan, shaped by years of experience, is: "There's always another bug."
I like to put things online quickly, gather real-world feedback, and improve from there. So if you want a perfectly polished, bug-free experience, this site is not for you. But if you want fast, responsive, and continuously improving investing and trading analysis and tools — you’re welcome here.
PenkeTrading
I found my inspiration in trading and investing years ago. Like every investor, I wanted to find the best stocks out there. Since it’s impossible to read all financial reports yourself, you need a way to filter first. I started looking for tools, but quickly noticed that the most useful information was often blurred, abstracted, or locked behind expensive paywalls.
So I started coding my own tools — systems that automatically scan and structure financial data so I could focus on thinking and decision-making instead of manual filtering. What started as a personal solution slowly grew into something others could use as well.
For a long time, I deliberately avoided paywalls. Especially for traders and investors just getting started, I wanted access to be as open as possible. Most tools and analyses were available for free, limited only by depth and usage.
Why This Changed
Two things fundamentally changed the situation.
First: AI systems and automated agents started consuming large parts of the site at scale. Human users slowly disappeared, while the work was being reused elsewhere — without feedback, contribution, or sustainability. Open access unintentionally turned PenkeTrading into free input for external AI systems.
Second: after what I describe as The Great Reset, the technical and legal constraints around data usage changed. Earlier versions of PenkeTrading relied on external data suppliers, which limited what I could do commercially. That is no longer the case. The architecture, data flow, and independence of the platform evolved, making a sustainable model possible.
Because of this, paywalls are now part of PenkeTrading — not to lock knowledge away, but to protect real users, reduce noise, and keep the platform viable long-term.
Think of them as AI walls, not user walls.
Most content remains accessible. High-leverage tools, deeper analysis, and time-saving systems are reserved for people who actually use them — not bots.
If you find my tools and analysis useful, you can still support the project in different ways. Every form of support is appreciated and helps keep the system improving.
PenkeTrading Community
I’m building this as a single developer, with limited time. I won’t be able to personally assist everyone — and that’s intentional.
The goal is to build a community of traders and investors who think for themselves, share insights, and help each other improve. Feedback from real users directly influences how the tools evolve.
I’ll be involved — improving systems, refining ideas, and contributing where it matters — but the real strength comes from collective intelligence, not one central voice.
Let’s build something useful together.
