The company engages in the manufacturing and installing of steel structure products; research and development, manufacturing, and servicing of tunnel boring machines; and construction of bridges, tunnels, and other projects. It also offers tunnel construction equipment, construction machinery, turnouts, and related services; railway and highway construction equipment, such as bridge erecting machines, beam transporters, handling machines, beam lifting machines, and track laying machines; underground diaphragm wall construction equipment, such as double-wheel milling; resource mining equipment, such as electric shovels and tire belt machines; offshore cranes, such as full-slewing marine, offshore, and bridge deck cranes; port logistics equipment, such as gantry and container cranes; and other equipment, such as building component assembly robots. In addition, the company provides construction technology, and information technology services, as well as survey, design, and consulting services. Its products and services are used for the railway, highway, urban rail transit, water conservancy and hydropower, underground space development, energy, and other infrastructure construction fields. The company was formerly known as China Railway Erju Co., Ltd. and changed its name to China Railway Hi-tech Industry Corporation Limited in January 2017. China Railway Hi-tech Industry Corporation Limited was founded in 1999 and is based in Beijing, China.
